Hi, crafty friends. Today’s cards were so fun to make. I think THIS stamp and THIS die set are so clever that I had to make a couple of cards with it.
First, I stamped all the images at once using my MISTI. I colored them in with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I created the water with alcohol inks. I applied alcohol ink THIS paper to resemble water. After it was dry, I die-cut the piece using THIS die. I used THESE dies to create the panels where the images can move. I attached the images to a penny that was behind the opening using THIS foam tape. On one of the cards, I created two moving pieces. You can make as many moving pieces on a card that you want just make sure the pieces don’t interfere with each other when sliding.
After it slides…
I adhered the pool down using double foam tape around the slots so that the penny could move freely. I made sure to coat the edges of the adhesive and the opening well with THIS to prevent sticking. I adhered the outer edge of the pool die-cut using THESE so that it was easy to manipulate on the shape.
After it slides…
For the card base, I stamped THIS background stamp to resemble tile or concrete squares. I white heat embossed a coordinating sentiment from the stamp set on a strip of black card stock.
I hope this has inspired you to create an interactive card.
