Stitching on Cards

Hi, crafty friends. I have a confession to make. I am addicted to stitching on cards. I found it to be relaxing while I’m watching t.v. or when I’m a passenger in the car. I’ve made several cards but thought I’d share these mini cards today…

I started by die-cutting THIS tag three times from white cardstock. If you’re having any trouble removing the die-cut holes, try using THIS metal shim in your big shot to add pressure and run the piece back and forth a few times. I also found THIS tool to be very helpful.

I found the birthday themed stitch patterns HERE. After stitching the patterns, I trimmed off the top of the tag and adhered a piece of cardstock to the back. I adhered THIS foam tape to the back, creating a pocket for the hidden greeting to sit inside and be removed easily.

I stamped sentiments from THIS stamp set (one of my all time favorite birthday stamp sets). I created pull tabs from THIS and THIS patterned paper so they could be removed easily.

These cards are mini. They measure 3.75 x 3.75.

Before I go, I have a bonus stitching project for you…

I used the same tag die to create a bee pattern.

I hope this inspires you to try stitching on your next project. I must warn you it’s addicting.
