Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Animal Dies

Hi, there. I’m a big fan of the Picture Book animal Dies from Simon Says Stamp. You may remember THIS card I created awhile back? Well, I recreated it using the newest additions to the Picture Book Animal Family….

After die-cutting all the animals, I adhered them to a top folding white note card that I stamped THIS sentiment on. The sentiment is a horizontal sentiment that I cut to create a vertical one.

Here are a few tips to add dimension to these die-cuts…

-You can adhere them straight to the background or create a backing for them by tracing the shape and cutting it out. You can cover that backing with adhesive which makes it simple to adhere when working with all the tiny pieces. I find it to be more sturdy and give just a bit of dimension.

THIS black glaze pen works perfectly for the eyes. It really makes them pop.

-You can also add dimension by layering some of the pieces. If you look closely at the giraffe, I cut two of the same pieces of the top head portion and adhered them on top of eachother. Those small details make a big difference.

It’s hard to choose favorites but I’m really loving THIS giraffe, THIS koala, THIS zebra, and THIS polar bear.
