Simon Says Stamp Friends Release

Hello. I’m sharing a few cards today featuring products form Simon Says Stamp’s Friends Release. You can check out the entire release HERE. It’s fantastic! I had a hard time choosing just one product to play with, so I used three new products on my cards…

I started by inking through THIS new stencil with various colors of Distress Oxide Ink. I love the chalk look it gives when it dries! I trimmed off a section of the panel and adhered the pieces to a note card panel that was stamped with a sentiment from THIS new stamp set.

I stamped the critters from THIS new stamp set as they are intended and then stamped the mirror of the image by stamping on to the largest solid stamp in THIS set and then transferring that image to a piece of white yardstick. You could use the back of any stamp for this. You just need a solid area that is bigger than your image. I created a mirror image because I wanted to adhere two of the critters together facing each other. I did this for all the images except for the hedgehog since he is facing forward.

Since the background is so busy, I left the critters uncolored so they would pop against colorful background.

To finish off the cards, I used the same colors of Distress Oxide Ink to color in the tiny hearts in the sentiment. I also added thin black strips above and below the sentiment as well as THIS for the eyes.
