I’m so honored to be participating in this fun blog hop. My card is inspired by Kathy
I just loved her lesson in the latest Rainbow Maker Class from Online Card Classes and did a spin on her technique. Instead of coloring a rainbow with Copic markers, I used my inks to add color. I applied a variety of dye inks on top of THIS design that I stamped with black ink. I used THIS stripe stamp set to get bands of color. Using my MISTI made the process quick and easy. I double stamped some colors to get a darker color and made sure to overlap colors to get complete coverage. Inks are also a great way to add color to your project…Another element that was inspired by Kathy was the white highlights. Using THIS whtie gel pen, I colored in some of the open areas of the pattern. For some reason, I’ve always struggled with this in fear of messing it up. Kathy has inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and just try something new and I have to say that I really like the result. I finished off the card with THIS die-cut sentiment and a coating of THIS on top for some shine.

I really hope you will play along with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. A big thanks to Kathy for creating this challenge! More information about the challenge can be found HERE.

So pretty & colorful! I love the white highlights – at first I couldn't tell how you managed to keep some of the areas white until you revealed your method!

I love rainbows. Your card is definitely different with the line of color instead of blending one to the next – I like it!!
