Simple Birthday Card

Hello there. So I’m usually low on Birthday cards and rushing to create one as I walk out the door to a party. I’m trying to be better about that so I wanted to come up with a clean and simple Birthday card design that I could replicate easlily for anyone…

I started by die-cutting THIS die from a piece of Neenah white cardstock. I used my Misti to stamp the toucan image from THIS stamp set using THIS ink. After coloring the bird using my Copics, I stamped THIS balloon image at the top of my panel. I stamped the string from the same set coming out of the bird’s mouth and up towards the balloon. It wasn’t quite long enough, so I drew in the rest with a black sharpie marker.

Next, I die-cut the largest word from THIS set using THIS fun foam. I went with white on white so it wouldn’t distract from the scene. I used THIS on the back before die-cutting to make it easy to adhere. I white heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set on a strip of black cardstock. I trimmed it out and adhered it using THESE adhesive strips.I finished off the card by adding some of THIS on top of the balloon and one of THESE for the bird’s eye.

I hope this inspires you to create a clean and simple card design that would be easy to replicate.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.

It's a great card Heather, perfect for boys and girls….and adults for that matter! Love the large white sentiment in the background, works brilliantly with the bright colours of the toucan. Lovely card!
