Hi there. I’m back today with another installment of Stampin’ & Scrapin’. This layout was created as a gift to my mom for her birthday…
The bond between her and my son is so strong and I wanted to document that in a layout using a favorite picture of the two of them. I started by using THESE new watercolors and painting stripes in rainbow colors. You may have seen this on my Instagram HERE.
After adding a mat to the photo and the journaling, I adhered it to the watercolor piece. I also added a title and a rainbow sticker that I adhered to a circle cut with THIS die using THIS patterned paper. I used THIS washi tape to create a border along the bottom. I adhered the piece of tape to a piece of white cardstock to make it more sturdy and not so transparent. I also die-cut a scalloped border along the bottom using the same patterned paper.
Now for the stamping…I wanted to stamp a sentiment that mimicked the title. I found the same sentiment in THIS stamp set by Hero Arts and stamped it repeatedly on a piece of 12×12 Kraft cardstock using THIS clear ink. The reason I chose that title is that is what my son and mom say to each other constantly. 🙂
I hope this inspires you to create a scrapbook layout to give as a gift. It’s such a meaningful gift. Try including your handwriting or your child’s handwriting to make it even more special.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.

Such a cute layout! Love the stamping at the bottom – never have been brave enough to stamp onto one of my layouts but thinking I may need to get over that! 🙂
