Pop Up Donut Card

Hi. Have you seen Lawn Fawn’s latest release!? Wow. Their products always put a smile on my face and are so fun. I think THIS new pop up die is such an innovative product. I used it to make this donut card…

I cut the die from THIS cardstock along with the inserts that go inside the box. I stamped, colored and cut out several donuts from THIS stamp set. I used a variety of mediums to add “icing” to the donuts and adhered. I adhered them to the inserts inside the box, using acetate strips on some donuts to get some height above the others. I decorated the panels around the donuts using a piece of patterned paper and used the stitched heart from THIS die set to add the continued greeting from the outside of the box.

Here’s a closer look at the donuts…

Speaking of the outside of the box, the entire piece folds flat so it can slide into an envelope. I used the stitched rectangle from the pop up die along with the same stitched heart die to add the beginning of the sentiment…

Here’s a look at the donuts when it’s folded flat…

The pop up box die is a bit costly but you get so many dies included that you can use on other cards as well. It’s definitely worth the investment. I will be using this die a lot on future cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
