Hello there. Thanks for joining me. Today I’m sharing a way to stretch the use of your stencils…
Stencils are so versatile and one of the ways you can use them is to stamp with them. I used THIS, THIS, and THIS new stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I laid them on my craft sheet applied different colors of Distress Oxide Inks to the top of each one using THIS ink blending tool. I sprayed with water and flipped the stencil over and laid it on top of a piece of THIS cardstock. I let it sit there for a few seconds and then hit in with my heat gun to dry it.
I didn’t ink the entire stencil because I like the look of partial impressions.
For the sentiments, I used THIS new stamp set and white heat embossed a sentiment on banners cut with THIS die. I finished off the cards with a spray of THIS and some sequins.
I like the look of the Distress Oxide inks because it leave a cool, chalk like finish but you could do with regular Distress Inks.
I hope you will give this fun technique a try. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
