Watercolor Backgrounds

Hello. The Little Tangles Challenge Blog just announced their latest challenge HERE, which is all about watercolor. I created two cards for the challenge showcasing easy watercolor backgrounds….

First, I stamped the images and sentiment from THIS adorable Neat and Tangled stamps set using THIS ink and clear heat embossed them. I used THESE watercolors to color in the images and used THESE and THESE dies to cut them out.

For the backgrounds, I used THESE watercolors again and the widest brush from THIS set and painted simple stripes. It was so quick and I love the bold look.

I hope this inspires you to try this simple technique. I’m no artist but can do simple stripes. Polka dots would also be cute. Here’s a closer look…
