Hi. Today I’m sharing a couple of simple watercolor cards…
I don’t know about you but sometimes I get stuck creatively. When I do, I just start playing and that’s how these cards were born.
I love the look of metallics with watercolor, so I die-cut THIS word several times from THIS foiled cardstock. When I adhered them on top of the background, I layered them, shifting them slightly to create a “thicker” look…
For the backgrounds, I applied various colors of Distress Ink (all listed in the supply list below) on an acrylic block and then sprayed it with water and applied the watercolor to THIS cardstock.
I didn’t add any embellishments because I didn’t want to distract from the simplicity of the cards…
I love using Distress Inks for watecolor since they “play” so nicely with water. I hope this inspires you to create some simple watercolor cards.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
