Valentine Photo Cards plus SSS Blog Hop

Hi there. Today I’m taking part in a fun blog hop celebrating Simon Says Stamp’s Hey Love release

THIS heart die from the release creates a fun window that I thought would be perfect for a photo…

I used my son and niece’s school photo to create a girl and boy version of the card.
I started by adhering the blue/pink rectangle to the gray rectangle before cutting out the heart. This way it cuts through both pieces and when you flip open the heart you have gray on the larger heart and the matching color on the small heart inside. I embossed a sentiment created from THIS and THIS set in the lower right corner.
I lightly traced inside the opening on to a 3.75 x 4.75 white card base so I could easily line up the die to make another cut. This creates a window so you can see inside the card where I attached the pic…

I finished off the card with some enamel heart embellishments. These valentine cards would be fun for any child to pass out at school. I hope this has inspired you to add a photo to your Valentine cards.

You can see the entire Hey Love release HERE.

I wouldn't have thought to use the heart die as a photo holder. I know a couple of grandparents who are going to like that idea. Thanks, very inspirational

These cards are so adorable! I'm smiling all over just looking at them. Decided these are going to be my valentine cards to my adult grandchildren with a picture of their grandparents hamming it up for the camera. Thanks for the inspiration.
