Hello and welcome. Today I’m sharing a simple gate fold card…
To create a gate fold card, cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock in half and then score at 2 1/4 inches from each end. It was fun to mix it up and use a different card fold.
For the background pieces, I created my own patterned paper using THIS stencil with THIS white gel pen on a piece of black cardstock. I colored the adorable monster and heart from THIS stamp and coordinating die set using my Copic markers. I gave the heart a smiley face using THIS sweet Lawn Fawn set. I adhered him to a gray scalloped square using fun foam but only added adhesive to the left side of the square. Leaving the right side free of adhesive allows the card to open easily.
I like to decorate the inside of the card when creating gate fold cards because the opening hints towards a big reveal, so I did an inlay die-cutting technique using THIS sentiment die. I framed the sentiment using THIS die.
I hope this inspires you to create a gate fold card. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's great Heather, it's really nice to mix it up a little sometimes with a different shape and style of card – and the gate fold suits this image and sentiment perfectly!
