STAMPtember 2016- Hero Arts

Hi. I’m back today with a project featuring another collaboration for STAMPtember. This time Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts paired up to create THIS sweet stamp and die set…

I thought the images would be perfect to watercolor so I stamped them using THIS ink on to THIS watercolor cardstock. I used my MISTI to stamp the images several times since the cardstock is textured.

Once the ink was completely dry, I used THESE watercolors to color the images.

I die-cut a heart using THIS die from THIS vellum and applied VersaMark ink around the edges so I could heat emboss it using gold embossing powder. I also did this to the hearts in the background using the heart image from THIS stamp set.
I die-cut THIS banner shape from THIS cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. I also added little details to the pie images with THIS to look like whip cream.
I think this card would be perfect to give to the hostess at Thanksgiving dinner or a teacher any time during fall. However, I absolutely LOVE the thanks sentiment in this set and wanted to create one more card to show how it can be used year round….

Since I already had my watercolors out, I decided to watercolor on top of the sentiment after I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used THIS stamp for the background and used THESE dies to cut out both pieces.

Here’s a closer look…

Thanks so much for joining me. Isn’t STAMPtember so much fun!?
