Stamping with Distress Ink

Hi there. Today’s card features stamping with Distress Ink as well as layering die-cuts. I used THIS Tropical Leaves stamp and coordinating die set from Simon Says Stamp….

…and placed the majority of the images on my MISTI. I did this so I could stamp multiple images at one time. It’s also a great tool to get good coverage when stamping with Distress Inks.

The reason I chose to stamp with Distress Ink is because I wanted a watercolor look to the die-cuts. Since Distress Ink reacts with water, I spritzed the images lightly with some water before stamping. I love the texture it adds…

I stamped on to THIS watercolor cardstock for each color of the rainbow. I shared a picture on Instagram HERE of all the colorful panels. By stamping each sheet in one color, I now have lots of pieces left to make several cards.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and layered them on top of each other in rainbow order. I used some of THIS cardstock for the background to tone down all those bright colors. I finished off the card with a sentiment from THIS stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
