Scribbling Technique Part Two

Hello and welcome. A few months ago, I shared a technique I found by accident. Don’t you love when that happens!? Anyway, I mention in THIS video how you can expand on the technique and create your own designs. I experimented with a stylus and drew in some BASIC shapes (because I’m no artist!) while the ink was still wet and I just love the results….

I’m not going to go into detail about how to do the scribbling technique because there is instructions HERE plus a video showing you how. I just followed those exact steps but instead of using my finger to swirl around the ink, I used a stylus and drew in a sun and a heart.
For the sun card…

I used Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress inks and heat embossed a coordinating sentiment inside the image.
For the heart card…

I used Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries Distress ink and heat embossed THIS coordinating sentiment inside the image.
I wanted to keep the cards simple and have the focus be on the technique. I like that it gives a lot of texture without any bulk. A great one layer card. I couldn’t capture it in the photo, but I sprayed THIS shimmer spray on top off both and it gives off the most beautiful shine in real life.
I hope you give this technique a try. Don’t let the doodling scare you. You can always use a stencil or trace an image that you stamped on the plastic. You don’t have to be an artist…just experiment and have fun.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
