Personalized Boy Cards

Hi there. I’m sharing three card examples today that shows how to personalize a card to make it extra special. I’m focusing on boy cards because I think that’s an area that many struggle with. THIS stamp set from Avery Elle is perfect for boy cards. I used it today on all three cards…

Here are three ideas for personalizing cards…

1. Include the card recipient’s interests…

This card was created for my son who is a drummer in a band. His band name is Chasing Autumn so I used my copier to photocopy their demo CD (at a super small scale) and used it for the drum head. Not only does it shake since I used one of THESE (click HERE to see it in action), but I also colored the image to look like him. Incorporating his band name was a fun way to personalize the scene.
2. Include a photo of the recipient…
I made this card for my youngest son and he got a kick out of seeing himself on the card. Anytime I’ve ever incorporated a photo on a card it has always been a big hit!
(That background was created by quickly coloring back and forth with one of THESE markers on THIS textured cardstock. Love the look!)
3. Include the card recipient’s name…
I used sticker letters to add my son’s name to the snowboard. The interactive element on this card was created with one of THESE dies…click HERE to see it in action.

I hope this has inspired you to add a personal touch to your next card. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
