My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. I’m honored to be sharing two projects as part of the My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop. Here’s a look at the June kit…

More information about the kit can be found HERE

The kit includes:

A luggage tag die (die size 8 1/4″ x 2 5/8″, finished tag 4 1/8″ x 2 5/8″)
Seven accessory dies (heart, camera, sunglasses, sunshine, geotag, suitcase, airplane)
A 4×6 clear stamp set
Two half sheets of Sizzix tan Paper Leather
Three geotag clips
Airmail stripe washi tape
Journal
Three map hearts
Airmail twine
Clear tag holders
Here is the card I created with it…

I applied THIS adhesive sheet on the back of a piece of white cardstock and die-cut several airplanes using the airplane die. I adhered them to a white cardstock panel that was cut using THIS die. I adhered two airplanes together to add more texture and dimension. I adhered the panel down to a navy card base and used the twine in the kit to tie around the card.

I created a mini postcard by die-cutting the small rectangle die from the kit. I stamped a sentiment and postage stamp image from the kit using THIS and THIS ink. I added a thin mat around the piece using the leather paper and stamped a decorative line on the postcard using THIS ink to finish the look. I did add a bit of THIS and THIS for some shine.
Since this kit is travel themed, I thought it would be fun to create a destination project too…

We are planning on taking our four year old son to Disney sometime in the next year and I wanted to create some personalized postcards….

I used THIS die to create the postcard and stamped images from the kit’s stamp set as well as THIS stamp set using black ink. I stamped in black ink so that the postcards can be colored. This would be a great activity for the kids to do while traveling there! My son colored one for the example today…

The kit’s stamp set also has decorative lines which is makes a perfect spot to write your message and the recipient’s address on the back of the postcard.
There is also THIS alphabet set, which is an add on stamp set. I used it and the journal to create an autograph book for all the Disney characters to sign…

The MISTI helped in lining up the letters and keeping them straight…

I also used my MISTI with THIS white ink and stamped several images from the kit’s stamp set and THIS stamp set to create a fun background. Since I was using the MISTI, I could add different colors of pigment ink to certain images to make them pop.
