I Love Hero Arts-Day Two-GIVEAWAY

Hi there and welcome. I’ve decided to do dedicate a few weeks of the year to feature different stamp companies I love. I thought it was fitting to showcase HERO ARTS first, since they were my first “love” and what sparked my love of stamping.

Here is the card I created for Day Two…

How adorable is THIS stamp set!? It makes me melt. 😉 It’s a layering stamp set but I chose to just use one layer and ink it up with some distress ink to create a rainbow ice-cream. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I spritzed it lightly with water before stamping to give it a watercolor look. I stamped the cone using THIS ink for the first layer and THIS ink for the second layer.

I heat embossed the sentiment on to a piece of vellum and adhered the ice-cream cone along with a few enamel dots. I used THIS die to create a frame around it. I stamped the sprinkles image using the same colors repeatedly to create the background…

I added some of THIS on top to resemble sugar. It’s hard to photograph, but looks so cool in real life…
GIVEAWAY
I have an extra ice-cream layering stamp set to giveaway! Thank you Hero Arts (not only do they make amazing products but they are so kind and generous too)! Leave a comment below telling me if you’ve ever tried layering stamp sets before and I will randomly choose a winner. You have until Sunday June 12th at Midnight EST. Good Luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll be back tomorrow with another Hero project…

I've tried other brands of layering stamps, but never Hero Arts. Had my eye on several of them– including the amazing ice cream– for so long now! Their designs are AMAZING– and your card is spectacular!!

I have tried a hibiscus layering set. As a very long time stamper I am thrilled that stamp companies have come out with layering sets. They create such beautiful images.

What a scrumptious card!!! I have done lots of layering with Stampscapes stamps, but have not tried it with other brands as of yet. You have inspired me to expand my wings and try some others 🙂

I have tried the layered hibiscus stamp set. It took some time to get it right, but now that I own a MISTI stamping tool, I imagine it will be easier. Love the ice cream set!

Yum!! Super duper SWEET card, Heather!
I've been eyeing this set! 😉
And oh yes, I've tried layering stamp sets before…I find some to be fairly easy and some others to be a little more tricky. This set looks fairly easy, which is a good thing in my book! 😉

NEVER tried layering stamping before and I thought you needed like different shades of the same ink to do it and with your card I see you can use multiple colors!! BEAUTIFUL work!!
