Hi there and welcome. I’ve decided to do dedicate a few weeks of the year to feature different stamp companies I love. I thought it was fitting to showcase HERO ARTS first, since they were my first “love” and what sparked my love of stamping.
Here is the card I created for Day Two…
How adorable is THIS stamp set!? It makes me melt. 😉 It’s a layering stamp set but I chose to just use one layer and ink it up with some distress ink to create a rainbow ice-cream. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I spritzed it lightly with water before stamping to give it a watercolor look. I stamped the cone using THIS ink for the first layer and THIS ink for the second layer.
I heat embossed the sentiment on to a piece of vellum and adhered the ice-cream cone along with a few enamel dots. I used THIS die to create a frame around it. I stamped the sprinkles image using the same colors repeatedly to create the background…

That is so cool how you created a rainbow look on the ice cream! I have never owned a layering stamp so never tried it. I would have to add to my ink collection. Good excuse to do that!

I love the bright colors you chose for your rainbow ice cream and sprinkles! Now I'm hungry for ice cream! I haven't tried layered stamping yet, but I did purchase a flower set from Altenew. I've really enjoyed watching tutorials on using the layered sets, and there are so many to choose from. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to win the set you used, and a big THANKS for sharing your talents with all of us!!!

First of all, I have decided that it's sherbet in the cone because of the bright colors. ( I love sherbet.) Your card looks great. Love how you used the vellum. Regarding your question: No. I do not have any layer stamps and have never tried layer stamping. But now that I have a mini-MISTI I am looking forward to trying them.

Delightful card (and scrumptious looking too)! I have done a card with a layered stamp set at a make and take I attended, so I have tried it! Love this fun ice cream cone and the pretty details on your card!

Heather,
I can't say that I have layered stamps (knowingly, 😂). I really don't have many to try that with. I've done masking with them, is that "layering?" I've seen flower stamps being layered … Is that the layering you refer to? If so, I can't say that I have. But I recently acquired some wooden stamps that have a solid shape stamp that has a coordinating details stamp. I have yet to try it.
The card you've created has such a yummy look to it. Hmmmm, must be the ice cream and sprinkles. 😊
Thanks for the opportunity to win the set.

Some of the stamping I have done has inadvertently looked liked layered stamping, but I've never used a layered stamp set before. This ice cream stamp set is super cute.
