Share Handmade Kindness Challenge (& a Giveaway)

Hello friends. Happy November! My sweet friend Jennifer McGuire is hosting a challenge all month long over at her blog HERE. It’s about sharing handmade kindness. You can find lots more info. HERE. I had the pleasure of helping her out with this and I’m so very proud of her!
I wanted to kick off the challenge with a few card shares along with a giveaway
Hero Arts has joined in and is selling THIS stamp set in honor of the challenge. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the KIND campaign. Pretty cool, huh? The stamp set is gorgeous. Jennifer collaborated with graphic designers to create this unique set…
Acts of Kindness Stamp Set by Hero Arts can be found HERE
I created three cards using the set…

The first card…

…was so simple to create. I stamped the line of hearts image several times in different colors of Hero Arts ink (all colors are listed in the supply list at the bottom of this post). I stamped the sentiment using THIS ink and heat embossed it using THIS embossing powder. I used the top of THIS die with an embossing pad to add some faux stitching under the sentiment. I die-cut a heart from the images using THIS die and applied THIS ink to it and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it pop. I finished off the card by rounding the corners and adhering the panel to a top folding, black note card.

For the next card…

I mounted the heart images together on an acrylic block and stamped in the same colors repeatedly, creating a rainbow background. I cut a section from the top portion of the card and replaced it with a piece of acetate that I stamped a sentiment on using Staz-On ink. I trimmed out the piece with a few tiny strips of black cardstock and finished the card with some gems and rounded the bottom corners.

For the final card…
I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using THIS die. I stamped the adorable envelope image in the same inks and mounted a few of them with foam tape for some added dimension. I heat embossed a sentiment and mounted the panel on a black note card. For a finishing touch, I added glossy accents to a few of the hearts. Clean and simple.

I also wanted to share that the circle stamp in the set is the perfect size to create an envelope seal….

I can't really enter the challenge, I'm not tech savvy and can't share anything, post cards on Instagram or a blog. But I will make some treats for some special service people in my life. Thanks for a chance to win your generous giveaway. Michelle t

a sweet family in our community just lost their mom and beppe (grandmother) and this lady was salt and light to our community and so much more than even that to her family. anyway, one of her 'ministries' was to send cards of encouragement and hope to people within our community/congregation; i am hoping, in some very small way, to try to continue her ministry in whatever way i am able, first by sending cards to her husband, children and grandchildren, and siblings (she was one of about 11 children and mama to 6 herself!). it is a start and i just hope i can muster a tiny bit of her strength to carry it through. thanks so much for the chance to win and thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

So fun! I LOVE this set and will continue to give cards to unsuspecting people. I do this all the time, and find it's a part of my crafty hobby, to give, share and feel the love of an unsuspecting gift. I'm going to be adding some treasures to my "Give" collection and replenishing my "Just Because" box of goodies. I'll also be making some handmade yummies for my students, and coworkers.
