SSS November Card Kit

Hello. I’m excited to announce that Simon Says Stamp’s November Card Kit is available today…

You can find more information about the kit HERE

Simon Says Stamp was kind enough to send me a kit to play with and I created this card…

I thought it would be fun to have the piece of pie image from the stamp set sitting in the window. I used THIS die and cut several pieces of Neenah White Cardstock with it. I snipped the bottom pane of the window to have the look of an open window. I adhered vellum behind the top window pane to look like glass. I used a piece of patterned paper in the kit to create some window curtains using THIS die. I used THIS die to create the grass and heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set using white embossing powder.

I wanted to have leaves on the ground but the leaf images in the set were a little large for the scale of the card. So I stamped the leaves, but cut out each leaf from the image and adhered them to the “grass”. I stamped the pie image using THIS ink on to some watercolor cardstock. I used a paintbrush with water to pull the color over the image. I watered down THIS ink to color in the pie filling. And what’s apple pie without a little whip cream on top!? …

I applied some of THIS to resemble whip cream. I also used THIS on the filling to give a subtle, “sugary” sparkle.

This reminds me of "the old days", before screens, when Grandma would set a pie on the window sill to cool.
