Hello! I’m excited to be joining such a fabulous group of artists to celebrate Kelly Latevola. If you’re unfamiliar with Kelly, please click HERE and check out her amazing blog. She does a CASEing feature on her blog where she shares three cards from an artist and a card she created inspired by their work. She featured me HERE awhile ago and now I’m going to CASE her!
Before I get to that, I wanted to say a few things about Kelly. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person about a year ago at a craft retreat. I remember I had just said goodbye to my sweet dog (Jack) a few days before and was feeling a bit bummed. Kelly INSTANTLY made me laugh. She is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I love her kind heart, her potty mouth, and her talent? It’s insane. I just love her so much and happy to get a chance to celebrate her…

This card? Absolutely stunning. I love her use of color.
Oh my. This card is perfection. I love all the layers she adds to each card but still keeps it clean.
Yep. She’s crazy good! I’m always inspired by her bold use of color on white. Here’s my card inspired by her three cards…
Kelly is a pro at coloring. Me? Not so much. I did give it a go though with THESE markers to color in the images. I was able to achieve a bold background by using THESE watercolors.

I am SO jealous that you've actually met Kelly. In my head we are friends, but she doesn't know that. . . Lol! I have loved her blog since the beginning, but feel in love with her even more when she recently started making videos and doing Periscope and I was able to hear her and get to know her personality even more! She is truly an awesomely talented artist, but she also is an amazing person. I think this hop in her honor is so sweet and should show her how much she is love and admired. Thank you for sharing the story of meeting her and her kindness to you.
