2015 Holiday Card Series…

Hello. Thanks for visiting my blog.

So I was shopping the other day and what did I hear?…Christmas music. Say what!? I really want Halloween to come before I can even begin to wrap my head around Christmas…but time flies and it will be here before I know it. It has inspired me to get a head start on creating holiday cards. I’ve decided to share a holiday themed card every Tuesday and Thursday until Christmas. Sound good?

Today’s card uses a few different stamp sets from Hero Arts’ holiday release…

I stamped the adorable penguin from THIS set using THIS ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I fussy cut him out and added the hat image from the same set. I created a snow bank for him to stand on using THIS die and covered it heavily with THIS for some shimmer. I stamped the tiny snowflakes from THIS set using THIS ink to create a snowy background and applied THIS to the edges to give it a “frost” look. It was really hard to photograph, but so cool in real life…

I finished off the card by stamping THIS awesome background stamp on to a piece of THIS cardstock using THIS ink and die-cut it using THIS die. When I stamped the background, I stamped it once at a diagonal and then turned it and stamped it again on top to achieve a completely different look…a great way to stretch your stamps! I finished off the card by heat embossing a sentiment from THIS set on to a strip of THIS cardstock. I added a heart that I covered in glossy accents and mounted everything on to a top folding, black note card.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll be back on Thursday for another Holiday Card share…
