Hello. Today I’m sharing a fun way to stretch your dies for gift giving. I have a lot of tweens and teens in my life and they always want a gift card or money for Chirstmas or other special occasions. I challenged myself to come up with a way to present it a little more creative than usual.
As soon as I saw THIS die, I knew it would make the perfect money holder…
I die-cut the high top die out of THIS cardstock. I used THIS cardstock to create the holes for the “laces” to go through since it gives a faux metal look. I die-cut the remaining pieces from THIS and THIS cardstock and stamped the tiny circle around the star using THIS stamp set and THIS ink.
For the background, I stamped a happy birthday sentiment repeatedly with THIS ink and clear heat embossed on top. I die-cut the panel using THIS die and inked the edges with THIS ink, leaving a highlighted area in the center.
To create the die-cut image into a pocket, I adhered down all three sides (except for the top). Here’s a closer look…
I created another card to show an example with a gift card…
I used the same design as the first card, but I used THIS glitter cardstock and a sentiment from THIS stamp set for my background. I inked the edges with THIS ink. Here’s a closer look…
Since a gift card would be too large to fit inside the shoe, I used THIS awesome die made especially for holding a gift card and used it on the inside of the card…
I thought the iTunes card fit nicely with the “Live Loud” sentiment. 😉
That’s all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
