Hello! Simon Says Stamp revealed their June Card Kit today. Check it out…
It’s called, “Be Happy” and the name fits it perfectly. I love all the happy colors and it screams summer and sunshine. Simon sent me one to play with and I made several projects. I will be sharing more over the next week but today I want to share a couple of cards…
The first card was so simple to make. I die-cut the patterned papers in the kit with a banner die and adhered them down on to a white note card (made from a piece of cardstock in the kit) in rainbow order. The patterned paper also has a couple of sheets with decorative squares. I cut one out for the sentiment and framed it with a scalloped vellum square. I finished off the card with a cute epoxy sun.

My next card…
…used the same banner die pieces (I had leftovers from die-cutting). I die-cut a vellum heart using THIS die and die-cut the new smile die in the kit from black cardsock. Adhering vellum can be tricky so I decided to stitch it on with some thread. I stamped a sentiment and heart icon from the kit’s stamp set (which you can buy separately HERE) using black ink along the bottom of the panel. I created a mat around the panel using black cardstock and adhered it to a white note card using THIS for dimension. I added a few stitched lines along the sides of the card using THIS fun die.
I also heat embossed the smile die-cut using clear embossing powder for added shine. A closer look…
Like I said, I will be sharing much more over the next week using THIS fun kit!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
