SSS Falling For You Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. I’m excited to be participating in the MEGA Blog Hop for Simon Says Stamp’s newest release called, “Falling For You”. I couldn’t pick just one product to feature so I have lots of projects to share. Let’s get started!

First up is a couple of cards using THIS lovely new background stamp…

What I love about this stamp is that it measures 6 x 6. Perfect for a horizontal card…

 …or a vertical card…

To create these cards, I inked up the background stamp with several colors of distress ink (in rainbow order), gave it a light spray of water, and stamped it on a piece of THIS watercolor cardstock. I had some white frames left over from previous die-cutting so I framed each panel with them. I cut hearts from THIS die set out of black paper and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder to give some shine…
Simon also has THIS stencil from a previous release that coordinates perfectly with the background stamp. I used it with THIS ink to clear emboss some hearts in the scene as well. It was hard to photograph but that extra shine is so cool in real life. A closer look…
My next projects feature THIS new stamp set…

This set was screaming for me to make some shaker cards and THIS die set was the perfect partner to use for the circle openings…

I used THIS confetti inside the windows along with some of THESE sequins. I stamped the circle sayings on the window of my cards using THIS ink. THIS stamp set is a great addition to the heart images in the Circle Sayings Stamp Set.

A closer look at these cards…

You can see them in action over on my Instagram HERE
My final card set uses THESE fun stencils…
The Ombre’ ink pads from Hero Arts work perfectly with these stencils because you have three colors to build layers of bokeh circles. I used one of THESE with each ink pad to easily blend the ink colors.
I used THIS ink pad for this card…
…and THIS one for this card…
and THIS one fore the last card…
I paired the stencils with THIS stamp set and heat embossed the sentiments with THIS embossing powder.

I also punched some circles out of some large silver confetti I had left over from a birthday party. I thought it tied in well with the silver embossing.
A closer look…

Of course I love all the stencils, stamps, cuts, etc. However, what really stood out for me, were the sentiments on the last three cards.. Thank you so much for sharing. Those are my favorites!

I think the cards with the circle and dots backgrounds are the coolest because the messages on top of them really stand out even though they are all the same color
