Stretching Holiday Stamps

You might have noticed that I’ve been MIA lately. I spent some much needed down time with my family and also have had a major creative block lately. However, I managed to make a couple of cards that showcase how to stretch those holiday stamps.
I used THIS snowflake stamp set from Paper Smooches and created a thank you and birthday card…

I laid out all of the snowflake images on my card and then used a large stamp press to pick them up. I inked them in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I repeated the same process to create another card, only switching out the greeting. This technique would be perfect for mass producing!

Then I applied distress ink on top of the embossed images. I used Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers for the first card…
and Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade for the second card…

After I blended the colors together with my blending tool, I sprayed it heavily with Perfect Pearls. I love the shine it creates…
The snowflake images paired with the “thank you” sentiment is the perfect card to send out after all those holiday gifts….
I decided to let the backgrounds shine and kept the rest of the card simple. I added a few sequins, pearls, and gemstones to finish off the cards after I mounted the backgrounds to a top folding white note card.
I hope this inspires you to use your holiday image stamps in a new way! Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!
Oh, and the winner of the Hero Arts stamps from THIS post is Hanna! Congrats. Please send me your address so I send your stamps out.
