Easy Mulit-Colored Embossing

Hello! Today’s new challenge over on the Little Tangles Blog  is all about Embossing! I have a great tip to share for multi-colored embossing. First, here is my card for the challenge…

…and this is the background image I used from Neat and Tangled…

Neat and Tangled’s Tiny Triangles Stamp

This stamp works perfectly for this technique because of the solid and open areas in the stamp. So to create the multi-colored silver and gold triangles, I first heat embossed the image using some Gold Embossing Powder. I wanted to add silver to the open triangles so I used THIS VersaMark pen to color the inside of the image with the sticky ink and then heat emboss them with Silver Embossing Powder

TIP: The VersaMark pen is the key to getting this look as it can get into tight spaces that the regular VersaMark ink pad can’t.

Here’s a closer look…
Pretty cool, huh? I finished off the card by heat embossing THIS sentiment in silver, cutting it out, and adhering it to my card along with a bow and some sequins
I’m loving the look of silver and gold lately, which happens to be the color combo of my Christmas cards this year. (That I haven’t started yet… Eek! Who’s with me!?)
