I was shopping the other day and came across this…
I’ve been looking for a Spirograph tool for awhile because I thought it would be fun to create cards with it. Once I started playing, I couldn’t stop and created three cards.
Here is the first card…
I created this card by using a black, felt marker with the large and small opening in the set. It looked very graphic to me so I wanted to add some pink and yellow splotches of colors using Spray Mists. I die-cut that black banner from THIS die set and added THIS die on top. Here is a closer look…
For my next card I thought I would break out my Crayola markers, since I was playing with kid’s stuff anyway. I created the spirals using the colors of the rainbow. The markers did smear as I was moving the color around so I punched holes to cover the center and colored over them with the matching marker. I love the playful look it gives. I heat embossed THIS sentiment and adhered it to THIS decorative panel die.
A closer look…
For my last card, I decided to try some watercolor colored pencils. I used some bright neon colors and sprayed them heavily with pearlized water to acheive an “artsy” look. I finished it off by using THIS die for the panel and adding THIS sentiment.
Those sequins are from Neat and Tangled and the Metallic Decor is from Hero Arts. A closer peek…
There you have it. Three totally different cards using one, very fun tool. I hope this inspires you to do some creative play.
Oh, and the winners of the stamps from the last post are *Vicki* and Lisa Waitt! Congrats girls. Hit the CONTACT button on the top of the page and send me your address so I can get your goodies out to you. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by!
