Sketch Challenge

It’s the first Thursday of the month (Where did August go!?) and that means a new challenge has been announced over on the Little Tangles Blog
I used this sketch to create some thank you cards for my son’s birthday party. He recently turned 21 and we threw him a surprise party. I wanted to thank everyone who came and helped out but I didn’t want them to be to kid-like. I chose a grungy, teen style…
I decided to move the sentiment banner higher than the sketch calls for. I like that you can customize a sketch to fit your project. Here is a closer look…
I used THIS stencil and some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to create the stars on the white panel. I brought in some Black Soot ink to the edges and added some silver splotches with THIS and a paintbrush. I added the piece to a black notecard and finished it off by stamping the sentiment in black on a white banner
I hope you can play along with the challenge. Click HERE for all the details. Thanks for stopping by!
