Hello and welcome. Today I have a colorful card set share….
I started off with creating the blue card in a monochromatic color scheme and I liked it so much that I decided to expand it to more colors and create a set. It was very simple to create these cards.
I started off using the sentiment from THIS fun set and stamped it in different distress inks in the same color family….
So for this red card I stamped the sentiment on an angle down the center of the card using Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries, and Fired Brick Distress Inks. I kept stamping in that pattern until I reached the edge of the card and then spritzed each one with water to achieve a watercolor look. Once it was dry, I went back and stamped each “thanks” with black ink to make it pop. Then I die cut THIS label die from the middle sentiment and then adhered the piece back in place with some dimensional adhesive. I also added two epoxy dots to draw attention to the die-cut greeting and rounded the bottom corners with a corner rounder. All the panels were adhered to Hero Arts note cards. I did the same process with the following cards, just different colors…
I used Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks for the yellow card.
I used Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves for the purple card.
I used Bundled Sage, Evergreen Bough, and Shabby Shutters for the green card.
I used Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Tumbled Glass for the blue card.
I wanted to pop up that center greeting so the color of the card shows underneath…

Fabulous monochromatic cards, Heather! I love all the colors, but I'm partial to the blue.
Please leave my name out of today's drawing…I already have this paper pad, and rarely use it…Thanks so much for sharing more of your beautiful cards with us!

these are lovely and fun too–my fave is probably the blue, but I'm loving how the green turned out too. Actually, they make a fabulous set. This would make a great teacher gift, since they have to send a lot of thank yous.
woo hoo–thanks for the giveaway!
