Reveal Wheel Week-Day One

Hi there, crafty friends. This week is Reveal Wheel Week on my blog. What is a reveal wheel? It’s THIS die from Lawn Fawn.I’m a big fan of interactive cards and this die makes it easy and so fun. I know that these die sets can be an investment so I wanted to share multiple ideas using them.

For today’s card…

I used the window to highlight images from THIS stamp set. I die-cut the main panel from a piece of white card stock (placing THIS add on piece inside to create the window) and ink blended a background using purple and black ink. I chose these colors to create a night time scene. I ink blended the same colors on the wheel die-cut as well. I added droplets of water as well as painted dots using THIS ink to resemble a fire fly’s glow.

As you turn the wheel, you see these images…

I sandwiched the wheel in between the front panel and another panel to allow the wheel to spin. I stamped, colored, and die-cut the images from THIS stamp set and adhered them to the reveal wheel and front panel. I adhered the entire piece to a top fold card covered with THIS patterned paper. I added THIS and THIS to the fireflies for some shine. I die-cut the arrow in the die set from black card stock three times, adhered them together, and then adhered it to the panel. This way the recipient knows what to do.

A great resource for putting this die together is THIS video created by Kelly Marie Alvarez, the owner of Lawn Fawn.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I will be back with another Reveal Wheel Design tomorrow.
