Sending Good Vibes

Hi there, crafty friends. I’m so excited that the new Good Vibes release is now available from Simon Says Stamp. You can view the entire release HERE. I’ve been busy making samples with the awesome products. For today’s card…

I started with the background. I wanted to create a 60’s tie dye look to go along with the font of the word die. I cut colored tissue paper into squares, sprayed it with water and let it dry. I made sure to pick colors that would blend well together. I peeled off the tissue paper and was left with a fun background. There is some reactive tissue paper on the market but I found some tissue paper I had for forever worked just fine. I would experiment with what you have on hand. Some work, some don’t.

THIS new word die comes with a shadow. Instead of just cutting out the shadow from the background, I embossed it using THIS mat in my die-cutting machine. I cut the main words out of white cardstock three times and for the final layer, I cut it from THIS glitter paper. It’s hard to photograph, but the shine in real life is so fun…

I white heat embossed some supporting sentiments from THIS stamp set on black card stock. I finished off the card by adding a black strip along the bottom to ground the design. I adhered the background to one of THESE cards. I really like using them as they save so much time.

Here’s a closer look at the card…

There are many more amazing products in this release. I’ve linked to the entire release below as well as supplies used on today’s card.

Thanks for joining me. I’m sending good vibes your way. 🙂
