Snowman Shaker Card with Frosted Window

Hello, friends. Today, I’m sharing a winter themed shaker card featuring a frosted window technique…

Let’s talk about the technique first. I cut a piece of acetate using one of THESE circle dies. I just used a piece of recycled packaging for the acetate. I adhered one of THESE stencils on top using a small piece of tape towards the bottom (since that part would be hidden). I applied some of THIS embossing paste on top with This. After it dries, it creates a frosted window look. I love how it turned out…

To create the shaker part, I cut two of the circles from the same circle die set to create a circle frame. I cut that frame several times from THIS cardstock, layered and adhered them together. I rubbed the inside with THIS powder bag to eliminate any static for the beads to stick to. I placed some clear and pearl seed beads on top of a scalloped background cut with THIS die and inked with THIS ink. I adhered the shaker part on top.
You can see it in action over on my Instagram HERE
I die-cut this border die from white cardstock and adhered it towards the bottom of the circle to create a snowbank. I stamped a greeting from THIS stamp set on top. I stamped, colored, and cut out the snowman image from THIS set. I used THESE coordinating dies to cut out the image and also the snowman’s scarf. The die actually cuts out the branch image, but I used it to create a scarf for the snowman. I added some of THIS to the snowman’s eyes and buttons to make them stand out.
I hope you give this frosted window technique a try. It’s so fun.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Oh my! I just LOVE this card! Firstly, stencils and paste are always a winner in my books and that snowflake backdrop is just so so so pretty! Love the blue circle and scarf (how clever to use the branch die) and the whole thing makes me want to break out in song! Gorgeous!
