Hashtag Cards

Hello. Have you heard that Cathy Zielske has designed products for Simon Says Stamp!? I've been a big fan of Cathy's for a long time. She is one of my scrapbook idols and I'm giddy that she has crossed over into the card making scene. Oh, and she is so funny too. You must follow here on Instagram HERE. She is sure to put a smile on your face.

Okay, back to the new products. You can find them HERE. I decided to pair up THIS new alphabet with THIS sentiment set to create some hashtag cards....

I love that alphabet sets allow you to create custom sentiments. I also love how this alphabet set is open, perfect for coloring...

I stamped the alphabet letters one at a time using my MISTI and THIS ink. I did this so I could place them close to each other. I used THESE markers to color them in. I created an ombre look by coloring with the darkest shade at the bottom, the lighter shade in the middle, and then pulling the color up with a paintbrush and water.

I white heat embossed coordinating sentiments from THIS set on to black cardstock. I trimmed them out and adhered them under the hashtag words.

I kept these cards super simple and let the greetings shine with the coloring.

Make sure to check out all of Cathy's designs HERE.

Have a wonderful day. Thanks so much for stopping by.
