Summer “Graffiti” Background

Hello. Today’s card features a “graffiti” background…

I wanted to create a bright and cheery summer card so I pulled several summer stamp sets I have and started arranging images from them on to a piece of white cardstock in my Misti
I picked them up with the door of the Misti and inked them with a few Hero Arts Bold Mini ink cubes. The colors I used were Rose Madder, Tangerine, Dandelion, Green Apple, and Indigo. You could use any ink for this but I do recommend the mini ink cubes so you can individually ink the images. The larger ink pads won’t let you get into the tight spaces.
I finished off the card by adding hearts left over from THIS project and the sun from THIS stamp set. I added dimension using foam adhesive. I added THIS to the sun for some sparkle and THIS to the hearts and sunglasses for some shine. I added a mat background behind the piece and adhered it to a top folding white note card.
I hope you give this “graffiti” background technique a try. I chose a summer theme but any theme would be so fun.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.
