Acetate Card

Hi! I’m back today with an acetate card using THIS new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s newest release, One of a Kind.

Please Note: Acetate cards are tricky to photograph but so cool in real life. 🙂
I started with the card base. I used one of THESE acetate cards from Hero Arts because they are high quality and nice and thick. I stamped the ice-cream border image multiple times as a background using White Staz-On ink and my MISTI. I rounded the bottom two corners with THIS corner rounder to give it a finished look.
I stamped the larger ice-cream images on to a piece of THIS cardstock. I used THESE markers to color in the images and fussy cut them out using THESE scissors. I adhered them to the front of the acetate card using THIS foam tape. I also stamped a sentiment from the same set, cut it out, and adhered it below the images…
I wanted the recipient to see the gift card on the inside. I used a die from THIS gift card holder die set to create a holder for the gift card…
I traced all the images on to a piece of white cardstock and cut them out. I adhered them behind the images on the other side of the card. This hides the adhesive and gives a clean look. I cut a small strip to the same size as the sentiment on the front of the card that you can see once the gift card is removed. This is a great place to write a message to the recipient…

I cut another strip for the very back. Again, this hides the adhesive and is a great place for my personalized stamp image…

I hope this inspires you to create an acetate card. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!
