Hi there. I’m back today with another Quick Crafty Tip. (Click HERE and scroll down to check out my previous Quick Crafty Tips) Today’s tip is about Stamp and Die Storage. I use the AMAZING system that Jennifer McGuire suggested HERE to store my stamps and dies. However, my collection keeps growing and I wanted to tweak a few things to make it even easier to find what I’m looking for.
First up, adding a simple sticker to my pockets as a visual cue. I bought a set of colored star stickers and I place one in the corner of the stamp pocket. Believe it or not, this is so helpful. I immediately know that I have the coordinating dies that go with the set. There have been too many times that I fussy cut an image only to find out that I had the coordinating die set!
I like to store the coordinating dies and any unused pieces in the back of the stamp pocket…
I also place a sticker on my die pockets to remind me that the die goes with a particular stamp set. This way I can store the die separately and use it on it’s own. Again, that visual cue is a helpful reminder.
Another way I like to tweak my die storage is storing them in colored sleeves instead of just clear. Each color represents a different company. I do this so when I’m looking under a certain category, I can find what I’m looking for quickly. You could also do the color coding by category. For example, all of your word dies are in the blue pockets, stacked dies are in the pink, etc.)
I do this for my job so this may not work for everyone but it has really helped cut down on the time it takes for me to find what I’m looking for. I thought I’d share in case it would be helpful to you too.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Organizing!
