Easy Foil Accents

Hello. Thanks for joining me today. I love using foil on my projects, but I don’t always have the time to get out my Minc machine and coordinating products to get the job done. When I’m feeling lazy, I get out my dry adhesive to easily add foiled accents…

I created this card for a friend of mine’s daughter (who loves Batgirl) and wanted to add some pizazz around the super hero image. I used THIS double sided tape and cut it into small strips and adhered them to each side of the image. I placed THIS foil on top (shiny side up) and used THIS bone folder to rub the foil over the adhesive. When you peel back the foil, you’re left with foiled accents…

I finished off the card by gold heat embossing a sentiment from THIS stamp set as well as stamping some buildings along the bottom of the card. I also added some sparkle to her mask and super hero costume using THIS shimmer pen.

I think this technique would be so fun as a background. I’ll have to try that soon. Oh, and don’t worry if you don’t have the specific tape I used. Try out whatever dry adhesive you have on hand. Some dry adhesive have dots and could result in a fun look!
