New Feature: Stampin’ and Scrapin’

Hi there. Recently, I’ve been getting back into scrapbooking. It’s how I started in this hobby and it always brings a smile to my face to preserve precious memories. I decided to start combining Stamping with Scrapbooking (my two loves) and do a new monthly feature on my blog called, Stampin’ and Scrapin’! Here’s a two page layout to kick things off….

I mostly do pocket scrapbooking these days or use the Project Life app, but I like to sprinkle in these kind of pages into his album when I have the time.

For the first page…

I used the left over pieces from THESE cards and used them as frames for the pictures. I used THIS paper pad and cut circles from THIS stitched circle die set. I used accents of paper from THIS paper pack as well as THIS paper pack. I stamped and colored the fist images from THIS set to resemble Nemo and Dory and added THESE to resemble bubbles.

For the title, I typed the first part (using American Typewriter Font) and cut it using THIS banner die. I finished the title using acrylic letters from KI Memories. (These are no longer available. Anyone remember these!? I hoarded them and finally decided it was time to use them. LOL)

Here’s a closer look at the stamping…
For the second page…

I adhered six pictures down to the cardstock in two rows. In the center, I added a strip of THIS patterned acetate (adhering in the center where it would be hidden) and adhered the journaling on top (again using American Typewriter font).

I stamped and colored the little boy from THIS stamp set to look like my son and adhered him on top of a strip of patterned paper cut with THIS die.

I hope this inspires you to add some stamping to your scrapbook pages.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
