Using Felt with Dies

Hello, crafty friends. Today’s card features using felt with your dies. I used THESE cute penguin dies. There is a large and small penguin in the set and it reminded me of a momma and her baby…

I cut them out of a few different colors of felt. I used the die to trace the outline shape and cut it from some cardstock to create a base to glue all the pieces to. The felt adds such a great texture. When cutting with felt, using THIS adapter plate in the die-cut machine helps add pressure and give a clean cut.

I used THIS die to create a frame out of black cardstock and a piece of THIS patterned paper for the background. I added a sentiment from THIS stamp set and added a few of THESE enamel hearts to finish off the card.

This makes a great Mother’s Day card but also is perfect to send out to your momma friends. Being a mom is hard and sending a friend an encouragement card is always appreciated. 🙂

I hope this inspires you to try some felt with your die-cuts. Thanks for stopping by.
