I Love You & Donuts Card

Hello. Thanks for joining me. I created a card with one of my all time favorite stamp sets…

If you’ve been a blog follower of mine, you may remember THIS, THIS, and THIS card. Like I said, I love THIS donut stamp set so I wanted to bring it back and add a few dies from the Hey Love release by Simon Says Stamp.

I stamped the large donut image using THIS copic friendly ink repeatedly covering a piece of THIS white cardstock. I colored in the images using my Copic Markers and added a piece of vellum on top to tone down the bright colors. Adding vellum on top of bright colors or a busy pattern is a great way to tone it down without covering it up.
I added a sentiment strip at an angle along the bottom where I heat embossed part of the sentiment from the set and added THIS die-cut word and a small heart from THIS set. I added a dash line along the bottom with THIS pen using THIS ruler to finish it off. The sentiment strip was a great place to hide adhesive so I could adhere the vellum down.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I’ll be back tomorrow with a project as part of a fun blog hop!

Love this bright and fun card Heather! The cerise pink is gorgeous, you don't lose an of its beauty behind the vellum either. And a fabulous design! Trying hard not to rush out and buy a donut (or doughnut as we say in the UK)….
