DieCember Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. I’m so excited that DieCember is here! I have a fun spinner card to share featuring THIS adorable penguin die from the release. There is a large penguin and a small penguin. I used the small penguin for this card…

To create this card, I die-cut two of the small penguin from a few pieces of colored cardstock. Since the die cuts out the pieces, I made a base for each of the penguins by tracing the outer edge of the die and cutting it out. Then I used THIS strong adhesive to glue the two penguins together with a piece of THIS clear thread sandwiched between them. You can see it in action HERE.

I used THIS die to cut a heart out of the center of a black top folding note card. I white heat embossed a few snowflake images from THIS set as well as stamping the coordinating sentiment on a piece of white cardstock. I added some dots with THIS white gel pen and used THESE enamel dots in the center of the snowflakes. I adhered the top and bottom of the string to the back side of the front panel using the same strong adhesive and then cut another heart shape out of another piece of black cardstock. This covered up all the adhesive on the back side of the front panel.

For the inside…

I die-cut THIS cardstock using THIS die. I also cut out a larger heart using the same heart dies and stamped a gingham background using THIS stamp. I hope this has inspired you to create a spinner card using your die-cuts.

This card really made me smile! Is there anything better than spinning penguins?! And that gorgeous mix of pink, black and white, it's a fantastic card Heather. My favourite die, I think is the flower heart, but I love the circle with leaves and this super cute penguin. As always SSS knocks it out the park!
