Simple Stenciling

Hello. I’m back today sharing three cards created with some simple stenciling…

I’ve been wanting to use THIS awesome stencil for some time but never got the chance, until now! I used it with a variety of Distress Inks to create these simple cards. Applying the Distress Inks on top made these simple cards pop.
For the first card…
I used Peacock Feathers in the center, Salty Ocean in the middle, and Seedless Preserves on the outer edges.
For the second card…
I used Picked Raspberry in the center, Festive Berries in the center, and Carved Pumpkin on the outer edge.
For the last card…
I shifted the stencil slightly to make it a horizontal card and used Squeezed Lemonade for the center, Twisted Citron for the middle, and Mermaid Lagoon for the outer edge.
After applying ink on top of the stencil, I sprayed a heavy coat of THIS for some shine…
To finish off the cards, I die-cut THIS word die from black fun foam to add dimension and heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set using white embossing powder. I die-cut the sentiment using THIS banner die. I also added a colored fun foam heart next to each sentiment and applied a coat of glossy accents on top for some shine. I mounted all the pieces on to a black note card.
I hope this has inspired you to do some simple stenciling. Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

I have been eyeing this stencil too – your cards are so eye catching, really pretty combinations of colours and the simplicity of the sentiment – all comes together beautifully!

Hi Heather, beautiful cards. I found your blog a while ago and check it out when you post new stuff. I have that stencil and like it very much, too. I have a question for you. How do you keep your sprays (like the glitter one you used here) from clogging!? I don't use mine very often so every time I try to use one, it's clogged! Thank you in advance for your help. Jeanne
