Peek-a-boo Message

Hi there. I wanted to share the cards I created for the latest Little Tangles Challenge…

It’s all about coloring and you can color any way you want with any medium you like. I decided to color some embossing paste to create these tone on tone backgrounds…

I applied some of THIS white embossing paste on to THIS craft sheet. I added some of THIS and THIS Distress Ink on to the craft sheet next to the paste. I picked up some of the embossing paste with THIS knife and placed it into each color of ink. I mixed up the first batch of color and then cleaned my tool and mixed up the second batch of color. I applied the colored embossing paste on top of the card base using THIS stencil. Instead of buying different colors of embossing pastes, I like to tint white embossing paste.

I stamped, colored, and cut out THIS adorable skunk as well as the envelope that it’s holding. The envelope lifts open to reveal the sentiment…

To create the hinged flap, I cut the envelope piece a little longer on top and tucked it in behind the sentiment piece.

I hope this inspires you to do some coloring and enter the Little Tangles Challenge HERE. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

These are so adorable. I love how the little envelope opens up and the great detail the textured monochromatic paste adds to the cards.
