STAMPtember 2016- Hero Arts

Hi. I'm back today with a project featuring another collaboration for STAMPtember. This time Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts paired up to create THIS sweet stamp and die set...

I thought the images would be perfect to watercolor so I stamped them using THIS ink on to THIS watercolor cardstock. I used my MISTI to stamp the images several times since the cardstock is textured.

Once the ink was completely dry, I used THESE watercolors to color the images.

I die-cut a heart using THIS die from THIS vellum and applied VersaMark ink around the edges so I could heat emboss it using gold embossing powder. I also did this to the hearts in the background using the heart image from THIS stamp set.

I die-cut THIS banner shape from THIS cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. I also added little details to the pie images with THIS to look like whip cream.

I think this card would be perfect to give to the hostess at Thanksgiving dinner or a teacher any time during fall. However, I absolutely LOVE the thanks sentiment in this set and wanted to create one more card to show how it can be used year round....

Since I already had my watercolors out, I decided to watercolor on top of the sentiment after I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used THIS stamp for the background and used THESE dies to cut out both pieces.

Here's a closer look...

Thanks so much for joining me. Isn't STAMPtember so much fun!?

Multiple Card Syndrome

Hello and welcome. So what is Multiple Card Syndrome? It's a condition where a person makes more than one time every time they create. I've "caught" this from my sweet friend Jennifer McGuire and can't seem to make just one card at a time anymore. Why make one card when you can make two!? ...or more. :)

All joking aside it really has been a great thing. I just change up the colors and since all the supplies are out, it doesn't take much more time at all. I made two cards using THIS adorable stamp set from My Favorite Things that I've been eager to use...

I stamped the dragon image using my Misti on to some of THIS patterned paper and paper pieced the image together. I added some glitter to the smoke to make it sparkle and heat embossed the sentiment using THIS stamp set. For the background, I used a cloud cover die (it's now discontinued) and embossed it using THIS embossing pad. I used THIS die to frame out the scene.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to create multiple cards at one sitting. It's really fun!
