Photo Cards

Hi there. I’m back today sharing some cards I created for some of my crafty friends…

Twice a year, my friends and I have a craft retreat where some of my favorite people around the world (we have some ladies who fly in from England!) come and spend the weekend crafting. It is so much fun that my local group of crafty friends like to get together in between those larger retreats and meet up for the day for a quick fix.:) These ladies are so special to me and I’m so grateful for their friendship. So at the last mini retreat, I gave them all a card thanking them for their friendship and included a photo of us all together. It’s so fun to include a small surprise with a handmade card.
To create the cards, I used THIS cute stamp set from Mama Elephant. I’m not the best at coloring, so I used THESE gray markers to give a black and white photo look. I found that THIS polaroid die works perfectly with the stamped images.

I created several cards using the same design but in different colors. I used a coordinating ink color for each with THIS heart background. I finished off the cards by die-cutting THIS border for the bottom of the card and adding an epoxy heart under the sentiment.
I hope this inspires you to add a surprise inside your next handmade card. Thanks so much for stopping by!
