I Love Hero Arts-Day Two-GIVEAWAY

Hi there and welcome. I’ve decided to do dedicate a few weeks of the year to feature different stamp companies I love. I thought it was fitting to showcase HERO ARTS first, since they were my first “love” and what sparked my love of stamping.

Here is the card I created for Day Two…

How adorable is THIS stamp set!? It makes me melt. 😉 It’s a layering stamp set but I chose to just use one layer and ink it up with some distress ink to create a rainbow ice-cream. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I spritzed it lightly with water before stamping to give it a watercolor look. I stamped the cone using THIS ink for the first layer and THIS ink for the second layer.

I heat embossed the sentiment on to a piece of vellum and adhered the ice-cream cone along with a few enamel dots. I used THIS die to create a frame around it. I stamped the sprinkles image using the same colors repeatedly to create the background…

I added some of THIS on top to resemble sugar. It’s hard to photograph, but looks so cool in real life…

Leave a comment below telling me if you’ve ever tried layering stamp sets before and I will randomly choose a winner. You have until Sunday June 12th at Midnight EST. Good Luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll be back tomorrow with another Hero project…

Love the ice cream cone. I had not tried layering stamps until I got the misti, now it is easy peasy. Before I wouldn't have even attempted it!

Love that yummy ice cream cone. Very cool. I have just started using the layering stamps. They are a little tricky but I think I'm starting to get the hang of them.
