Hello! I’ve decided to do dedicate a few weeks of the year to feature different stamp companies I love. I thought it was fitting to showcase HERO ARTS first, since they were my first “love” and what sparked my love of stamping. (You can find Day One HERE, Day Two HERE, and Day Three HERE)
For today’s cards, I used THIS Color Layering Stamp Set from Hero Arts…
…and stamped the first layer of the flamingo using THIS ink and the second layer in THIS pink ink. I used black ink for the beak and eye and the same pink ink I used for the body on the legs. I die-cut the image out using THIS coordinating die. I stamped a coordinating sentiment using black ink on to one of THESE ovals and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder to add some shine.
I used patterned paper from THIS paper pad to finish off the cards as well as some of THESE enamel hearts…
THIS scallop die makes a great card base too…

I am a real bird lover and flamingos are my favorite….I absolutely adore this stamp and the cards you made with is are gorgeous. My happy news: After years of nagging him, my 84 year old father has agreed to move near us and just bought a home less than 15 minutes away.

Those flamingos are such a fun layering set! The black backgrounds you chose create such a striking contrast to the gorgeous pinks in the flamingos. These cards are the kind you just can't quite looking at – my eyes keep getting drawn in. Beautiful!
Good news? My service dog no longer has Lyme disease! Yay!!! So thankful the vet picked up on it before it caused harm for my sweet partner, Sadie!

Flamingos are such fascinating birds, their colours so cheery, their shape unique and the actions curious … FABULOUS, just like your cards!!!
Layering stamps fascinate me too, they add amazing texture and dimension without bulk. Now that I have a MISTI on the way, I look forward to trying my hand at more adventurous stamping like this 🙂
Happy news – you have perfect timing Heather, we got HAPPY news in the form of a phone call from my niece, asking if it was OK for her brother and her to come visit … they live nearly 4 hours away from us so it's not like they could drive all the way here just on the offchance … of course we said YES, I'm smiling just thinking about all the {{{HUGS}}} coming our way 🙂

I am in LOVE with flamingos!!! So cute! Happy news is that I am getting on a plane with a girlfriend today and going to LONDON!!! I still can hardly believe I am blowing town and leaving my husband in charge of the kiddos and having no responsibility for a week!! I will miss them terribly, but seriously, so excited– and so grateful that I am married to such an awesome, generous man!

i love this flamingo layering stamp! I saw someone use it with a pink feather on it for a wing. It was so gorgeous! My happy news is that my best buddy is here today playing arts and crafts with me. Right now she's playing with my Copics. We have so many laughs together.

There is so much happy news if we look for it, isn't there? We live out in the country now and I love our local paper because it's full of good news! My own personal happy news is how happy and thankful we are to be living in the country at the lake. God is great! I like your cards and the black and white striped background is so cool!
